Waterblogged.info: Still illin’ and chillin’

The Waterblogged.info team has been ordered by the staff doctor to drink plenty of liquids and avoid unnecessary exertion. So, as we sip our third glass of Chardonnay (Babcock 2005, with attractive notes of orange and tangerine blossoms, crisp acidity, full-bodied, juicy fruit, and a subtle touch of wood) we look to yet another site to do our work for us: Circle of Blue.

We really like Circle of Blue; it has, ummm. . .Oh, gosh, what’s the word. . .? Oh, yeah, funding.

Seriously, it’s a big deal. Check out this video to hear internationally recognized water experts associated with Circle of Blue (like Peter Gleick of the Pacific Institute) explain the urgency of the global water situation and why we have to act now to protect our rapidly dwindling resources.

  1. Thanks for the plug! A couple of clarifications:

    1) Funding? Ha! We had some pilot money a few years ago, but we are SO broke. And we kind of bristle at the notion of our being well-funded, as it tends to make potential donors think we don’t need any more money. Nothing could be further from the truth!

    2) Peter Gleick’s name is spelled, well, like that.

    Thanks again!
    e.

  2. Gosh, you *look* well-funded! Sorry for raising a bristle-inducing notion in my feeble attempt at humor. It’s a beautiful site–keep up the good work, even if it does mean getting a part-time job to pay the bills.
