Waterblogged Jared Simpson,

You take away from the seriousness of the situation when you "play the blame game" in the title of your article. It is not a game - BP is to blame. And so are our elected officials who neglected supervision.

Just letting you know that I started my own website/blog - forever it is worth.

And I really enjoyed your dog and the water balloons.

Thanks for the information. I was in South Africa recently and was not even aware of the geographical location of Lesotho(and Swaziland). I wish that somehow things are rectified and the people of Lesotho have access to their own water. They should have access it and not have to pay dishonest vendors for what is rightfully theirs.

Good analysis and critique. While philosophically I agree with Levine's conclusion that the water buffalos are taking advantage of the situation in the hopes of lining their own canals and pockets, I do believe that those of us on this side of the debate must be scrupulous in getting our facts and interpretations straight.. The Buffalo/Big Ag guys have been very loose with the facts on issues like the causes of unemployment in the SJ Valley and the like. That kind of stuff will come back to haunt then at some point; hopefully about next Novemeber when we vote down the boondoggle pork bond.
